How a bespoke commission unfolds

Step 1

Memory Mapping (week 1, 90-min call): "Bring three memories, not three notes."

Step 2

First Sitting (week 2, 2 hr at the studio): "We try eighteen accords on blotters, then six on your skin."

Step 3

The Sketch (week 3): "Penelope composes a first version. We courier 5 ml to wear for ten days."

Step 4

Adjustments (week 4): "You write back. We adjust intensity, sillage, dry-down."

Step 5

Final Sitting (week 5–6, 90 min): "Approve the composition. Lucien blows the flacon while you watch."
